Throat Centor Score

Score 1 point for each of

  • Tonsillar exudate
  • Tender, anterior cervical adenopathy
  • Cough absent
  • Fever >38Deg

Consider antibiotic treatment for scores of 3 or 4

Centor Score (Modified/McIsaac) for Strep Pharyngitis

Estimates probability that pharyngitis is streptococcal, and suggests management course.
