Chickenpox or Varicella including in pregnancy / neonate

NICE CKS provides usual guidance for the assessment/ management of chicken pox/ Varicella, including

  • Chicken pox in the neonate
  • Confirmed or suspected chicken pox in pregnancy
  • Confirmed or suspected chicken pox in a woman who is breastfeeding
  • Managing an immunocompromised person with confirmed or suspected chicken pox
  • Exposure to chicken pox
