There may be exceptional reasons to refer a patient to a alternative hospital. Examples might include a patient who is well known to a specific hospital due to a recent admission, or who has a clinical presentation that is best managed at a specific site - such examples are detailed below:

NBT - Stroke, Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastics
BHOC- Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre - for patients currently undergoing treatment at the BHOC and experiencing complications or side effects of their disease or treatment.
