Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (BIRU)

Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre specialise in the treatment of patients with complex physical and cognitive impairments, challenging behaviours and neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from a brain injury.  The team have medical cover during the working day and are covered by North Bristol's hospital at night in the out of hours period.

Hospital at night can be contacted on 07526 201590.  Therefore, patient's in this unit should not be requiring input from SevernSide.  We have in the past received calls from the lab about patients in BIRU.  Please refer these calls back to hospital at night and raise a learning event.
